MRS. HUGH COLGROVE Mrs. Abbie Theresa Colgrove, aged 73, wife of Hugh Colgrove,died Wednesday of the last weekin the Ward Nursing Home, Pittsfield, after a long illness.She was born in Edmeston on January 29, 1881, daughter of Everett and ida (Ray) Simmons.She was married to Mr Colegroveon January 23, 1907.Besides her husband, she leavesa son Lorenzo; three grand-children; three brothers, Carlof Gilbertsville, and Lauren and Ray Simmons of edmeston;three sisters, Mrs. ChesterHouk and Miss Ada Simmons, bothof Edmeston, and Mrs. CarrieBennett, of West Burlington; ahalf-sister, Mrs. Robert Larrabee, edmeston; her step-mother, Mrs. Hattie Simmons,and Nieces and nephews.Mrs. Colegrove attended the Methodist Church. She also wasa member of the Wharton Grange.The funeral was held at 2 p.m.Saturday from the Houk FuneralHome, the Rev. Leonard Davisofficiating. Burial was in Edmeston Union Cemetery.
