MAP RADIO MAN KILLED Pvt. Frederick Welch Loydga Was With Infantry in Italy. Pvt. Frederick Welch Lodyga, 20year old, only son of Dr. andMrs. C. J. Lodyga, Crystal Springs,rural route No. 3, was killed in action in Italy September 29, according to work received by hisparents. He previously had been reported as missing in action inItaly.Private Lodyga was assigned to mapwork and radio with the infantry.He enlisted in July, 1943, shortlyafter his graduation from centralhigh school here and went overseaslast July. He was born in KansasCity.Miss Merle Deane Blacker, 1339East Thirty-second street terrace,an employee in the circulationdepartment of The Star and PrivateLodyga bevame engaged in May, 1943.The survivors include also hisgrandmothers, Mrs. F.
