    3. Pistol Wound Proves Fatal Sciotoville Man Is Found Dead Elmer Colegrove, 78, operator of a confectionery at Fourth St. and Harding Ave in Sciotoville, was found dead of a bullet wound in the head this morning. The body was discovered in a rear room of the business place wht a pistol nearby. Police chief Robert Edwards said death apperently was from suicide but a further investigation is under way. Ivan Culp of Minford Rt. 1, driver for the Leet Lumber Co. at Scioto- ville, a close friend of Mr. Colegrove, went to the confectionery about 8 a.m. and found the front door locked. He was unable to arouse the operator and notified Patrolman Joe Cook of the city police department. A door was forced to gain entrance. Mr Culp told Chief Edwards he made a purchase of a soft drink in the store Thursday night and at that time Mr. Colegrove appeared in his usual good spirits. Dr. James F. Scott, Scioto County Coroner, was at the scene at noon. Mr. Colegrove's son, Ellsworth, who makes his home in Wayne, Mich., was contacted by telephone. He left instructions for the body to be moved to Gill Funeral Home.
