Frederick G. Sims, Former Area Residents, Dies in Florida Frederick George Sims, 249 Park Road Hamden, Conn., Retired treasure and director of the National Folding Box Co., now the Federal Paper Board Co., died May 27 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was 88. Mr Sims was born February 2, 1878, in Wittersham, Kent, England, son of William and Frances Sims. He came to the United States and was married to Florence Colegrove Sims of Clinton, now deceased. He was a graduate of New York University and was a 67- year member of Clinton Lodge 169, F. & A.M he was the brother of Thomas, Albert, James, Mary and Edith Sims, all of Clinton and all deceased. Mr. Sims is survived by two sons, Frederick of Wellesley, Mass., and John of Rockville Center, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Eunice, is deceased. Mr. Sims graduated from Clinton High School in 1895 and taught here from 1895 to 1897, after which he was Clinton's assistant post- master for seven years. Funeral services were held yesterday in Hamden and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, Conn.
