Fred Mayberry Fred Calvin Mayberry, the youngest son of Jonah Leander and Martha Susan Francis Pursley Mayberry, was born near Haddam, April 28, 1904, and died January 8, 1991, at Washington. He was 86. He spent all his life in the rural Morrowville area. In 1928 he was united in marriage to Eva Colgrove in Beatrice, and to this union one child; Evelyn, was born. In their early married life they lived on a farm southwest of Morrowville and in 1930 moved to a farm in the Enosdale community, until he recently retired to Washington. He was a member of the Christian Church in Morrowville. His wife died March 13,1978. He later married Maude Mayberry, the mother of Bill Mayberry, Belleville, and Allen Mayberry, Auburn, Nebr. He was also preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Will, Frank, Clarence, Guy and Earl. He is survived by: his daughter, Mrs. Darrel (Evelyn) Portenier; eight grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held January 11 at the Christian Church of Morrowville, with Rev. Ian Blacker officiating.
