He was born in Kentucky in 1859, married to Harriet Scoresby in Hutchinson, Kansas in Sept 1884, had 7 children, and later had a ranch in Delaware county Oklahoma near the town of Colcord. Harriet's brother Oliver Cromwell Scoresby worked for Colcord in some capacity. Have more information, if desired. If the Chamber of Commerce has any information on the Colcord family, I would be very interested in seeing it. I am presently working on a Scoresby family descendancy (not a relative, just interested in Reno county Kansas history). Also interested in seeing any data on the family of Edwin Melville Dewitt and his wife Antoinette Louisa Scoresby. They lived at Grove, Oklahoma - he died about 1932, she passed later.
