Was there also a son named John N. Colcord? Postings indicate that Charlotte S. (Sophia ?) married Peter Hatch. A goggle citation for "Emigrants to Oregon in 1843" indicates that Charlotte Sophia Colcord accompanied her brother John N. Colcord, a seaman, to the Hawaiian Islands. Charlotte taught at the Methodist Mission in Honolulu, met and married Peter Holt Hatch, and in 1843 they relocated to Oregon, where Charlotte died in 1846. Did Jesse marry more than once? Who is the mother of his several children, and has anyone determined that there was another son named John N. ???
