Adams Enjoyed cooking and gardening Irene R. Adams, 97, of Garnet Lane, Merrimack, died Dec. 15, 2001, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Adams was born Nov. 15, 1904, in Francestown, daughter of the late Edwin and Gertrude (Colby) Dow. She was educated in Francestown schools. A resident of Merrimack for the past 11 years, she previously lived in Greenfield and later in Milford for many years. She was the widow of George Adams, who died in 1986. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Goffstown congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was devoted to her Bible and also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by two brothers, Carroll and Arthur Dow; and a sister, Alice Canavan. Survivors include a son, Winston Russell of Milford; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Jeanne and Curtis Roughton of Texas, Joyce and Roland Seyer of Merrimack, with whom she lived, Rosalind Wasilewski of Nashua and Ruth Easton of Peterborough; nine grandchildren, including Sandra Allard of Nashua and April Bohaker of Boston; a sister, Nellie Pickens of Georgia; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, Dec. 19) at 10 a.m. in The Farwell Funeral Home, 18 Lock St., Nashua, followed by burial at Greenvale Cemetery in Greenfield.
