Born in 1920 in West Topsham, she was the daughter of Calvin and Hazel (Wood) Colby. She attended schools in West Topsham and Bradford Academy. In 1937, she married Delmer Hutchinson. She was a parent, homemaker and grandparent and was active in the local and school community. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janice Brooks and Lois Manning; two sons, Calvin and Jay; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters; her step-mother, Ida Colby; nieces, nephews and cousins.
