This marriage date comes form the 1900 census which says they have been married 17 years. Question: Is this dod for Eliza correct, did James and Eliza get divorced? why the overlapping dates. I think this is someone else. The birthdate for him on that census looks more like 1825 than 1822. Of course, looking for another James S.
