I was hoping for a biography or obit, something to tell what she did. I looks like her main thing was children's books. What I have found She was born 27 Jul 1907 died 7 Mar 1993 she was the wife of Dr. Fletcher H. Colby. All - As long as we are talking about authors named Colby, let me throw this into the mix. I have a novel entitled The Big Secret by Merle Colby, with a copyright date of 1949. Information on the dusk jacket indicate that Mr. Colby worked for several agencies of the federal government in Washington, D.C. It also states that he wrote several other books and was in public relations work in Washington. Does anyone know where he fits in?
