He was born: About 1765, Probably at Hudson, Hillsborough, New Hampshire Married about 1786, probably to Esther Whittemore, who was born: 18 May 1766, Hudson, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, she died: 26 Oct 1833, Barre, Washington, Vermont. Their children all born in Barre, Washington, VT were: Roxanna Colby (married Samuel Beckley), Polly Colby, and John Colby, a lawyer, (who married Adaline Kneeland.)
