    3. My ancestor, John Valentine Colby, died in May 21,1868 and is buried in Oswego, NY. I've never been able to determine if this was war-related or coincidence. He was born March 16, 1835 in Granby Twp., Oswego Co., NY and was one of 12 children of Daniel D. and Elizabeth (Singer) Colby. His grandfather, William Colby, was a Rev. War Veteran. Sue Gurk
