From the Bedford, NH vital records published in "The History of Bedford, NH" Nathan S. (of Warner) & Esther Darrah, Apr. 11, 1833 by Rev. F. A. Hodsdon This is Nathan S. Colby b. 18 Aug 1792 d. 2 Oct 1837 he was married twice (1) 3 Dec 1831 to Lucinda Evans b. 18 Feb 1803 d. 13 Mar 1832 (2nd) to Esther Darrah. Nathan and Lucinda had 3 children, George H. Colby b. 1822 and two daughters who died prior to 1835. I tried to find Esther Colby in the 1850 census for Warner, NH with no luck, in the 1840 for Warner, not luck. I did finally locate her in the 1840 census for Bedford, NH, looks like she went home after Nathan's death in 1837. Living with her in the 1840 census is one girl and a boy all under the age of 5, I suspect children of her and Nathan. What happened to these two children, what happened to Esther? Any help in solving this problem of Esther and the two children would be greatly appreciated.
