I am trying to document the parents of Anthony Colby, born 1605 in Horbling, Lincolnshire, England or Beccles, Suffolk, England and married to Susannah. Do you have any suggestions for how I do this? I would like to have documented evidence such as a will or baptismal record. Ronald Colby already told me that the Family History Library has parish records for Horbling available on micro-film and that the will of Thomas Colby of Beccles dated 1588 is available online at http://www.documentsonline.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ I paid for and received the copy of the will, but it's very difficult to read. So, here are my specific questions: 1. Does anyone have a transcript of this will? It is very difficult to read in that 16th Century script. 2. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I prove Anthony's parentage? The will is very helpful, but not definitive. Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards, C. Burton Bagby
