Among other things it should be noted that Cynthia Ticknor Wood is a descendant of MAYFLOWER passengers Stephen Hopkins and daughter Constance Hopkins. In addition the Ticknor line can be traced to early Mass colony (King Philip's War). Willing to share/compare notes. I think you guys are correct on Jesse's father being Merrill since I think the last child of Jesse & Lydia is MERRILL not MERRIT F. Do you think that Merrill, Jesse's father could have come to Plainfield from Salisbury, MA - son of Jacob & Sarah Merrill Colby?
