Colby Jr., 76, of Friar Tuck Drive, died July 7, 2005, at his home after a period of failing health. He was born April 13, 1929, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Wesley H. and Phyllis (Turner) Colby Sr. Colby grew up and was a longtime resident in Merrimac, Mass. He had resided in Exeter for the past 15 years, and formerly lived in East Kingston for 18 years. Mr. Colby worked as a truck driver for more than 20 years at Lawrence Motor Lines in Haverhill, Mass. Teamster Local #437. He was a 50-year member of the Bethany Masonic Lodge F&AM in Merrimac, Mass. He enjoyed antique cars and trucks. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Dudley) Colby of Exeter; three sons, Duayne Colby of Jacksonville, Fla., Keith Colby of Exeter, and Scott Colby of Kingston; one stepbrother, Jeff Eaton of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, one great-grandson, nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at the Exeter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Waltham, MA 02451. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.
