USN retired, Ed had a long and distinguished career in the retail menswear industry and enjoyed serving as a civic leader and member of numerous charitable organizations in Illinois. He had a deep faith and was a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Ed was a vigorous athlete and sportsman and especially loved playing baseball and golf. Ed and his beloved wife Ellie made their home in Tucson for 14 years and their love and affection for each other as well as their graciousness, embracing friendship, and deep spirituality touched the lives of their many friends. A memorial Mass celebrating Ed's life will be held in the chapel of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 N. Valley View, Monday, April 4, at 12:00 p.m. preceded by a time for condolences and remembrance beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers his family requests donations be made in Ed's name to the Community Food Bank, P.O. Box 26727, Tucson, AZ 85726.
