She was born October 14, 1953 in Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Waukegan. Janet is survived by her cousin, Michael Simpson of Lake Mary, FL; and her caregiver, Regina Taylor of Waukegan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Antonia Colby; and her brother, Orville Colby, Jr. Thank you to all the people at Vista Medical Center East for their caring and making Janet's last months as comfortable as possible. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Ave., Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan on Thursday, from 9:00 A.M. to time of mass.
