Colby Mrs. Ida Eayrs Colby, a former resident of this city for many years, died at a local hospital Wednesday evening [14 Aug 1957]. She was born in Hudson, the daughter of Edward and Charlotte (Ford) Eayrs on June 14 1881. Mrs. Colby had resided in both Hudson and Nashua but more recently had lived in Claremont, N. H. She was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal church in Claremont. Members of her family include, seven daughters, Mrs. Eva M. Dowallby, Claremont; Mrs. Helen C. Harding, Glens Falls, N. Y.; Mrs Sally C. Branch, Cornish, N. H.; Mrs. Grace I. Murphy, Concord; Mrs. Sadie M. Madeira, Manchester; Miss Gertrude A. Colby, Bellows Falls, Vt.; and Mrs. Edith B. Roy, Manchester; and three sons, Ervil Colby, Claremont; John F. Colby; Tilton and Winfred Colby, Uxbridge, Mass.; 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Cora B. Trombly of Hudson; also several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Friends may call at the Davis Funeral home, one Lock street on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 until 10 and on Saturday morning from 9 until 1.
