She was born July 25, 1917 in New Madrid, MO, the first daughter of Albert O. Allen and Maude O'Bannon. Mary attended Fontbonne University in St. Louis, MO and graduated with a BA in music. She met her husband Neal Colby in St. Louis while he was attending St. Louis University. Mary and Neal were married on New Years Day 1939 in New Madrid, MO. They have lived in OKC and have been members of St. Eugene's Parish since 1956. Mary and Neal had four children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mary Charlotte leaves behind sisters, Adalade Simmons of Kansas City, MO, Alberta Ramsey of New Madrid, MO; son, Neal D. Colby of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Carol Papin of Edmond, OK, daughter Charlotte Allen Venters of Oklahoma City and daughter, Joan Marie Williams of Dallas, TX. Grandchildren include Shawn Colby, Brian Colby, Kevin Colby, Michael Papin, Christopher Papin, James Venters, Jennifer Venters, Christine Williams and Mary Williams. Great grandchildren include Brayson Williams and Meg Elyse Williams. Funeral mass and burial will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery.
