I have a Casius Colby who married a Sabra. They had a son William E. Colby who married Emily R. Jaques William E Colby and Emily Jaques are in Windsor, MA William and Emily were married Oct 9 1859 Adams, MA and the marriage record says he was born in Fairfax, VT and his parents were Casius Colby and Sabra. There is a Sabra is in the 1850 census for Fairfax, VT Casius Colby is in the 1840 census so I would assume that he died between 1840 and 1850. Now the question is. Is Casius a son of Moses Colby and Jane Rich who were living in Fairfax, VT during this time frame? Got any ideas? Ron
Look at Cassius Colby in the 1850 in Brasher, Saint Lawrence, New York; and see if anyone can figure out what the name under neath his actually is. Ancestry indexers have it as"Kyaide" but that is rather weird. It is VERY hard to see!! IF Cassius has moved to New York with a new wife and new daughter, Caroline; then Sabra has returned to her parents with their youngest child, Orion. That's the best I can figure. Any better ideas??
