Colby, age 88, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 in Gainesville, FL. A memorial service was held Friday August 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Bixler Memorial Church in Dowling Park, FL.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Advent Christian Village or the Aurora University Library.Formally of Aurora, IL, he was a retired professor from Aurora University and a longtime resident of the Advent Christian Village and Whitefield, NH.He is survived by his wife, Juanice; two daughters, Miriam and husband Walter Smith, Judith and husband Lyle Streveler; four grandchildren, Sam, Ben, and Laura Smith and Cody Streveler.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris King Colby, in 1983.
