Mr. Colby was born April 11, 1947, in Nashua, son of the late James T. Jr. and Rosaleen C. (Mason) Colby. He grew up in Litchfield and has resided in Nashua for many years. He worked as a millwright for more than 30 years with the former Improved Machinery and his successors, Ingersoll-Rand and GL&V. Mr. Colby was an avid baseball enthusiast and Boston Red Sox fan. He coached the Nashua East Bambino League for several years. He also enjoyed model trains and coin and stamp collecting. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam era and was stationed aboard the USS Taussig. Mr. Colby attended Litchfield schools and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in Manchester, class of 1966. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James T. Colby III, who died in 1955. Survivors include his former wife, Priscilla Levy of Nashua; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Holly B. Colby of Nashua, James S. Colby of Philadelphia and David A. Colby of Nashua; a brother, Arthur M. Colby of Philadelphia; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carrie Rose Colby and Brian O'Neil of Litchfield and Marion R. Colby of Philadelphia; and an aunt and two uncles, Eunice and Harold W. Lalmond and Kenneth R. Boulia, all of Nashua. The Farwell Funeral Service in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
