Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers. Graveside funeral services will be at 3 p.m. at the Rogers Cemetery. Christopher Daniel Stanley Colby arrived into this world on August 16, 1988, to Mona Christine Colby. Christopher passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. From the start, he proved to be a fighter and one that would change the lives of people he would meet forever. His destiny was one of greatness that he fulfilled. Chris spent most of his life with Ron and Gayle Pullease and their children: Melissa, Amy, Megan and Garrick. Chris had the opportunity to attend church, go boating, camping, watch drive-in movies, go to school activities, get out and experience the world. There were no boundaries with Chris, only opportunities. Chris's motto was "The louder, the better!" In his "down" time he would relax to AC/DC and Led Zepplin. In his later years, he was cared for by Beth Holloway and Ginnie Boster. Ginnie had the opportunity to spend this last year seeing the world through Chris' eyes. Chris is survived by all those lives that he touched and changed forever. Chris' life was complete. "Chris has fought the good fight and run the race of his life. He is free from pain. He is in heaven where his breathing is no longer labored, and he cannot only walk, but run, too. Rest in peace, my brave boy. I love you." ' Dana Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2006, at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2006, at Rogers Cemetery. Lynn was born April 6, 1917 in Roseburg, OR to Ray W. and Minnie M. (Huntley) Colby, the eighth of nine children. He graduated high school in Eugene, OR in 1935. On June 27, 1937, he married Estelle Thompson of Eugene, OR. He worked in the logging industry most of their early years. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1943 where, besides logging, he worked for Tractor Sales & Serv. (later know as Haupert Tractor Sales). He was also a State Farm Insurance agent and pursued that profession after moving to Klamath Falls, OR about 1960. He and his son, David, also owned a auto repair shop in Klamath Falls for several years. Upon retirement in 1979 he and Estelle moved to Arizona. He leaves a son, David L. (Renee) Colby of Medford, OR; daughter, Dianne (Greg) Carlton of Peeples Valley, AZ; five grandchildren, Douglas (Sherri) Colby of Mt. Angel, OR, Donna Colby of Medford, OR, Daniel D. (Andrea) Colby of Nampa, ID, Michael (Leona) McNeill of Ramona, CA, and Matthew McNeill of Phoenix, AZ; eight great-grandchildren, Iain and CJ Colby of Mt. Angel, OR, Tiffany Hankins, Mindy and Adam Williams of Medford, OR, Gavin and Katrina Colby of Nampa, ID, and Lauren McNeill of South Dakota. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, four sisters, four brothers and his wife who died in August, 1997. Per his instructions, no services were held. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services in Phoenix arranged his cremation.

Nelson, age 88, of Whitehall, died on Friday, January 13, 2006, in the Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall. Dorothy was born on May 28, 1917, in Thorp, Wis., to Corliss T. and Floy E. (Wingad) Colby. Dorothy married Bennie O. Nelson on March 23, 1940. Dorothy attended grade school to fifth grade in Thorp and then moved to Eau Claire where she finished grade school and graduated from high school in 1934. Dorothy graduated from college in Eau Claire in 1937, and taught school for 26 ½ years, mainly first grade, prior to her retirement in 1979. Dorothy was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, its WELCA, Delta Kappa Gamma (Professional Women's Educators), Eastern Star, Tri-County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Women's Club. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Karen (Gerald) Larson of Eau Claire and Kathryn Nelson of Altoona; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Anne Nelson of Whitehall; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Colby of Pleasantville and Agnes Colby of Osseo. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; two brothers, Bernard and Grant; and a sister, Alice. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Jack Funeral Home with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery, both in Whitehall. Pastor Jon Becker will officiate. Friends may call from noon until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorials may be designated to the BTIAW Special Olympics or Our Saviour's Lutheran Church radio broadcast."
