Ask permission at 2613 North College Dr., (James Sheppard residence), to walk through their back yard to enter cemetery from east side. Cemetery owned by City of Durango. Last burial 1966. Bayfield: North of town of Bayfield. North on County road 501 about 0.4 miles from U. S. Highway 160. Cemetery entrance road is to west of CR-501. Crestview: At intersection of U. S. Highway 160 East and Colorado State Highway 172. South of former location of "Elmore's Store." Florida/Hood: >From Intersection of U. S. Highway 160 East, Colorado State Highway 172 South, and Country Road 234 (former location of "Elmore's Store"). North 1 mile on CR 234, turn east on County Road 228. 1 mile to sharp turn to north, 0.8 mile further to Florida River crossing, 0.2 mile further to County Road 225. South on County Road 225 about 0.25 mile. Cemetery on hill by Baptist Church. Greenmount: In Durango, west of Animas River at west end of Cemetery Rd. West turn from Roosa Ave., about two blocks north of 9th Street Bridge. Hay Gulch: South at Hesperus on Colorado State Highway 140 about 2 ½ miles to County Road 120. Turn west on CR-120 and follow winding road for about 6 miles. Cemetery is in pasture to the west of the road. Private property, Ute Indan land. Hermosa: North of community of Hermosa, which is approximately 8 miles north of Durango. North on U. S. 550 about 1.2 miles past intersection of County Road 203 with U. S. 550 (also where the Durango and Silverton RR tracks cross U. S. 550). Cemetery is west of U. S. 550. Hesperus: High on a hill in a pasture on east side of Colorado State Highway 140 about 1 mile south of Hesperus, close to abandoned Catholic Church. Ignacio/Catholic: South from Ignacio on Colorado State Highway 172 about ½ mile. Cemetery is west of road. Ignacio/Protestant: East on County Road 151 from Ignacio about l mile out of town. South on County Road 321, go about 1 block and make a sharp (left) turn to east. Go on winding road to top of hill to cemetery. Kline: South at Hesperus on Colorado State Highway 140. Near Kline turn west on County Road 119 about ½ mile. Cemetery is about ¼ mile north of CR-119. Martinez: Go past the Oxford Cemetery on County Road 311 (see below) about 5 miles to County Road 310 (corner of "Harmon Place"). Cemetery is in small fenced area out in the woods. Private property. Marvel: South on Colorado State Highway 140 about 9n miles to County Road 134. South on CR-134 to County Road 133 in Marvel. East on CR-133 approximately 1 mile to County Road 131. North on CR-131 approximately 1 mile. Cemetery is east of road. Oxford: East from Durango on U. S. Highway 160 to Colorado State Highway 172. South then east past the turn for the La Plata County Airport to Oxford. South on County Road 311 about 2 miles. Cemetery is east of CR-311. Red Mesa: South on Colorado State Highway 140 to Red Mesa. Turn west just south of the L.D.S. Church. Two blocks to cemetery. Thompson Canyon: Off U. S. Highway 160 about 18 miles west of Durango at County Road 105 (Cherry Creek Road). Cemetery is south of U. S. 160.
