Good morning to you all, I wanted to wish your children and grandchildren a safe and Happy Halloween. Don't forget to set your clocks back, except for those living in Arizona. :>) Have a great & safe day, Addie - List Admin
Good afternoon, For those history buffs with ancestors whom fought in the Civil War, there is an interesting documentary on the History Channel this evening. I watched the movie Andersonville, and by doing so was able to locate my ancestor Lyman Morris whom was held prisoner and died there. One never knows, you may be able to locate one of your ancestors if they were there. Addie List Admin
Dear Fellow Researchers: I am hoping to find someone that can help me locate the burial place of David Stanton Armstrong and perhaps an obituary. He was born 1851 in PA, son of Simon & Jemima; and he died March 13, 1897 in LaPlata Co., CO. His wife was Bessie Carter Armstrong. She died in Montana, but I'm hoping to find that she is buried next to her husband. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Karen
Guess I really blew my last email and I am sorry for the inconvenience that it may have caused all of you. The correct URL is http://coloradogravestones.org But, that is ok... 200 more photographs have been added since I sent the last email. If you find a family member would you email me and let me know...?? Gail

Good morning, We would like to wish you all a very Happy & Safe 4th of July as you spend your day with your families, we hope that you also remember our ancestors as well. Have a wonderful day with your family and friends. Sincerely, Addie (List Admin)
I have just recently uploaded over 700 photo's for La Plata Co. and have completed one full transcription of the Crestview Memorial Gardens cemetery. My granddaughter did the typing for the cemetery transcription and helped me to load all the photos for that cemetery. We will have a partial on the Bayfield cemetery done shortly. I have uploaded about 120 photo's for that cemetery. I have about 150 more to go before I am completed with what I photographed. The photo's can be found at: http://coloradogravestones.org just use the search engine and it will take you to the cemetery or surname you are looking for. If you have photo's to add to the site, they are more than welcome. Gail
From our home to yours, we would like to wish all the Fathers out there, a very Happy Fathers Day. We hope your day is as wonderful as it can be. Happy Fathers Day, Addie (List Admin)
Good afternoon, I have had several people contact me regarding the list guidelines and etiquettes. Although when a subscriber asks me or subscribes to a list I admin, I will send them a copy of the list guidelines and etiquettes. Because there are many that state they have not received the guidelines or the email from me, I have created a web site which list the guidelines and etiquettes. Please see the link listed in the signature at the end of this message. Feel free to contact me off the list privately if you have any questions. They are there for all to see. Please print them and read them as they do contain important information. Thank you all. Best wishes, Addie (List Admin)

Good evening, A quick note to let you all know that I have changed email addresses. Please update your email address book to reflect our new email address which is [email protected] . Please use the new email address when trying to reach me as I will be closing our old address out in the very near future or as soon as all web sites, lists & message boards have been updated with the new change. I have a new e-mail address since the last time I posted, so will repost. I am researching James Ogilvie Monteith (b 1847 Scotland)/wife Christina Louisa Ross (1852 Scotland). They immigrated to Durango in 1882, with 4 kids: Annie; Robert; John Carnon (my line-b1879 Scotland); and Christina. They settled in Durango, then a farm near Falfa/Griffith. James O.'s siblings also eventually settled in Durango: John R. Monteith/wife Catherine; Peter Monteith; Andrew Monteith; and Mary Monteith. Also researching Annie (Christina's sister)/husband John Carnon, also in Durango. My John Carnon Monteith married Laura Moss 1908 Durango. The farm near Falfa was occupied probably until around 1945, when Robert Monteith (from my first sentence) died. Any information would be appreciated. Laura
