Mary--- It is very kind of you to offer lookups in 1880 Colorado census. I am looking for the founder of the Col. Sellers Mine, which operated in Leadville during the middle of the 1880 decade. His name was W. P. Sellers. Is he found anywhere in Colorado in the 1880 census? I am also looking for Frank Baldauf in Leadville, or anyone of that name, in Colorado in 1880. I have his (and family) entry in 1880 census, and also in the 1882 Leadville Directory, but would be delighted to have any other passing mentions that might exist. Thanks! In 1885 it says that the owners of the mine was a private c0-partnership of W. F. Patrick, T. C. Stebbins, Lyman Robinson, John Livezey, Jr., J. C. Whiting, A. J. Gerhard, J. J. Simmons and S. J. Glover. Further in the article it says that W. F. Patrick remains the manager of the mine, the article is talking about the death of Fred E. Bruen, E.M. who was the Superintendent of the Mine. Mr. Patrick is the principal owner. He found the mine and developed the mine to its present grand proportions. Since this death of Bruen Mr. Patrick is assisted by John D. Drummond, a practical miner who is acting both as Superintendent and foreman. Mr. Drummond is assisted by Mr. Frank Baldauf, night foreman.. Gail
