    2. Hi Gail. The address for the site is obviously someone's home. The Mitchells lived on East 8th street, just about 208, maybe 210. It was that big blue house with the pillars on the porch. The Jewish cemetery has recently been restored. It is at the southern end of Evergreen, and across the road from the Catholic Cemetery, but I don't think you can get in from that end. There are quite a number of graves in that cemetery. Do you remember Minnet Miller? She used to run the social services for the county. Her father was the last rabbi for the congregation in Leadville. The Millers lived on East 7th just below where my Mom lives. The house is now an "Antique" place. The building that is pictured on the site was down on West 4th Street, in the second hundred block, facing north, almost across the street from St. George's church. To the best of my recollection the Millers were the only family left from that community when I was growing up. It was just Minnet and her sister Sally. Sally later got married and moved away.

    3. Hi Ed, Yes, I remember Minnette Miller, very much so..and I guess now I remember that she was of the Jewish faith but had forgotten. Also, I had met Sally too but would not have remembered to connect any names until you mentioned it. Guess that is what happens when you are wearing blinders.... I know where St. George's was but don't remember the Jewish building and that is also like I was trying to remember the big building behind us when we lived in Ken McElroy's park on 2nd St. We lived down on the very end..was that Pine and 2nd???? and behind us was this big huge building that was vacated and was a bar and dance hall, I think. There was an alley and this building and then Vienna Grocery was in front of it but up from it, as I used to walk across the field and go in the back door of the grocery. It was always vandalized and the police were always in it at night playing hide and seek with the vandals.. I want to say it was Ice something or Crystal Palace...maybe that was it...sound familiar?? Gail
