Hi Everyone: I have been reading your messages for a while but now there is something I would like to ask. I have an Edward H. McKnight that lived in Leadville and on the 1900 census it states that he worked as a switchman R.R. But in the City Directories it states that he worked for Arkansas Valley Smelter and Bi-Metallic Smelter. Question 1: what kind of information could I find in their records? If there is any. 2: Who do I write to find this information? Edward had a son named Joseph b. Sept 1899 but no birth records are found. I was wondering if someone could tell me what could have happened to his birth record and where I could write to find church records or any information. Because I can't find a marriage record for Edward and Olivia. Olivia was married to a William McConochie (came from Scotland), he die in 1894. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
