    3. As far as I know there is no one on the mail list who can do any lookups in Leadville at this time. You would have to check with the LDS on any films that maybe available but as far as I know obits are on film but only available in Denver and Leadville. Is this not correct, Mike? Gail

    3. I was very fortunate to get a copy of a portion of the 1918/1919 newspaper on microfilm through interlibrary loan. In it I found my Great-grandmother, Catherine Devlin Farrell, and my Great-uncle, John Farrell, obits. I also read all about the great flu epidemic that claimed both their lives. In the next few months I will try to write up my search and share it with the list. I was not able to get a copy of two other films I order. The library said the lending library only had non-circulating copies. My librarian wrote a request on my behalf for a lookup for the obit. I have not yet received the obit but it is at least an avenue you can try. So try your local library and see what you can find. Dawn Researching: FARRELL, DEVLIN, MCCALL, MARR, NOLAN all buried in Leadville. > -----Original Message----- > From: Gail Meyer Kilgore [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Sunday, January 21, 2001 2:17 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [COLAKE] Re: Searching for ancestors > > > As far as I know there is no one on the mail list who can do any > lookups in > Leadville at this time. > > You would have to check with the LDS on any films that maybe available but > as far as I know obits are on film but only available in Denver and > Leadville.
