I have only just returned home to Perth Western Australia after spending from March to Dec tourning in a motorhome & researching my family history all over Ireland & UK. I know that my ancestors mentioned in the previous post came from this Parish because of the Baptism records I found there. There is no mistake as I have researched & found an unbroken chain of Birth, Death, Marriage, Shipping & other records from myself through 5 generations in Australia to this couple who migrated to Australia in 1841 with their 3 oldest children - the ones baptised in St John's, Knockainey. I also found the baptism record for Terrance O'Brien's older brother Murtagh in 1811 at St John's Knockainey. I also have a record Ex Lewis 1837 stating that the Parish Priest for Knockainey & Patricks Well from 1826 - 1850 was J. O'Brien so it's possible he was a relation of Terence. Witnesses at their wedding in Bruff were Noleen Dooley & Daniel O'Brien. Spo! nsors at the baptism of their 3 children were James Real, Ellen Mortal, James Dineen, Bridget Fitzgerald, John O'Brien, Mary Gardiner. My tree is on Ancestry so you can see more detail there & my email address is robbins13@iinet.net.au Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Christine Robbins Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
