Married Emma Darling (b. 1859, Iowa) on 1 Jan 1883 in Leadville, CO. Children: Pearl D (1885), William Douglas (1887), Dawn Elizabeth (1889), Levicus Sidney (1892), Harriet Maude (1894), and Thomas Alden (1897). Thomas D. died in Leadville on 5 Feb 1900 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery (as are Pearl, d.1896, & Dawn, d.1895). I did locate him in 1885 Leadville City Directory (freighter, r. 132 W. Elm) but no luck in the Census. Also, regarding child Pearl...this is the name on the Cemetery Record, but I am not sure this was her correct name. There is a death notice in the 1 Apr 1896 Leadville Evening Chronicle (last page, bottom of column two), but it is very difficult to read. Could sure use another's opinion on what her name was.
