Immigration Record; Boston, MA, Gustaf H. Johnson, arrived 3/31/1896, 18 years old U.S. Census 1900 only person listed that comes close to this person is; Guss H. Johnson, Precinct 24, Lake County, Colorado; (Roll 125, ED 52, Sheet 8B, line 90) with occupation of Gruethman (?), listed with; Magni (?) Johnson. Backround: family lore says a man came to the family residence in Melrose, Massachusetts, USA and told my grandmother her brother had died "out West" and left her a package of his belongings. A visit to Leadville in 2006 did not result in any Death Cert. or any further information at the Courthouse, the Library, the Lawyers Office where the death records are kept or a visit to the cemetery and review of the grave list. Also checked for any Mine Accidents in July 1908, none found. Questions: where is or was precinct 24? Any guess what his occupation was? Any one know anything about the person he is listed residing with? Any other places to look for his death record, place? TIA Ralph Larson
