I realize this is 13 years since your post, but I've been researching a Thomas O'brien from the Leadville area whom is connected with a murder in Wyoming back in 1888. I believe the Thomas O'brien you mentioned in your post is one in the same. Did you ever find out any further details concerning Thomas O'brien?
