Riobard O'Dwyer is the ONLY person alive that knows the ins and outs of them and his oler books have been out of print for ages. Perhaps the library bight be willing to get a set??? The Annals of Beara is now available for anyone who is interested. Most (if not all) of Riobard's books are now out of print and unobtainable. Over the past year he has completed and published a comprehensive three volume set, representing his entire lifetime of work.  Volume I includes all of the parish records for Adrigole and Allihies. Volume II includes all of the parish records for Bere Islandand Eyeries. Volume III includes all of the parish records for Castletownbere and Glengarriff on the peninsula of Beara, each carefully translated and transcribed for posterity. These water stained and sun bleached manuscripts were very close to becoming illegible when Riobard single handedly saved their precious information for generations to come. The Annals of Beara is, without a doubt, the most important genealogical work of the many families of Beara.
