    2. Would someone have death/obituary/cemetery records for Tilda Laurila, died 8 Feb 1918, I believe. Her husband was Oscar Laurila. I believe they lived in Leadville. The only child that I know of for sure was Laila, born in 1905. Any other suggestions for researching these people would be most appreciated. Thanks so much. Carole Johnson

    1. [COLAKE] Mail List
    2. Gail Meyer Kilgore
    3. Hi, I have been thinking for many days now as how to address the mail lists that I host. To tell you that I know everyone is hurting and suffering now is probably minimal. But, we as American's have to move forward just as our country is moving forward. The day of mourning has passed and tomorrow our country will try and resume it's daily tasks of business. I have unsubbed from some of my mail lists as what I want to hear I can hear on the TV or read in the newspapers and keep myself informed in that direction. My computer is my way of relieving my stress and getting some enjoyment out of my life. I want to come to my mail lists and read something different that what I am watching or reading from the news media. Believe me, I am not insensitive as to what is going on around us all but as other mail lists hosts had stated, it is a time for move on and get back to genealogy or our discussion groups and stick with the topic of the mail lists. I now ask that from this post forward we stick to the topic of the mail list. Fly your flags, pray and remember! God Bless you all and GOD BLESS AMERICA Gail Meÿer Kilgore List Hostess

They were all lead miners from the IOM. > We are not entirely sure which 2 sons went to the states, but the possibilities are: > James dob 4 Jul 1869 > Robert Samuel dob 12 Mar 1865 > John Thomas dob 6 Dec 1863 > William Henry dob 5 Jan 1862. > > The mother of these boys was Elizabeth Shimmin nee Caine who died in 1887 - after her death her husband, William Shimmin and 2 of his sons went to the States. William returned to live on the island and was back by the 1891 of Apr. The two sons stayed and their sister Ann Cubbon is known to have been writing to them in Leadville. > If any of the above ties in with any Shimmin's of CO please contact. > Cheers from Western Australia > Glenda nee Shimmin > >

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WY.2ADI/150.154 Message Board Post: While looking for something else, I came upon your May 18, 2000, message regarding Henry Grafton Fuller. I have a letter written by his Mother, Ida Estelle Frink Fuller Moore, on April 17, 1929, to Wilbur Frink (whose records I have). Ida was living in Concord, NH, at that time. She provided quite a lot of information about her family line and told of the birth and birth date of her son, Henry, as well as of the death of her husband, Henry, and of the death of her second husband, Ellis Moore.. She said she had also written to Dr. Samuel Fuller with her family's information for a book he was doing on the Fullers. Ida is included in the book I am trying to complete, a second edition of THE FRINK FAMILY IN AMERICA, which I published in 1971. I do not have anything more about her son's descendants. I do note that he was a Lt. Commander in the US Army, WWI. If you would like to add additional information, I will be glad to have it.
