    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Coker, Williams, Hewlett, Wallace, Floyd, Little Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BVJ.2ACIB/983 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate information on my gggreat-grandparents, Stephen Coker m.(11/13/1853 New Hanover Co. NC) Rebecca Jane Moore. As far as I know, they had two children: George Wright Coker(My gg-gpa) and Stephen. George m.(5/9/1884 New Hanover Co. NC) Lucy E. Malpass/Rooks. The only info I have on their child/ren is my g-gpa Stephen Jones Coker m.(11/4/1903 New Hanover Co. NC) Mary Elizabeth Hales. The information I have obtained so far states that they were all born in Pender Co. NC. I thought there may be some sort of connection with the Cokers from Edgecombe Co. NC. If anyone has any information that might help I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks! Kristie

Frank was a Captain in L Company, 142nd Infantry, 36th Division in June 1943. He served with a relative of my husband. I believe he was with the National Guard Unit which was mobilized in Breckenridge, Stephens County, TX. He has been described as well over 6 feet tall, weighed about 240# and was '"one h--- of a man - had a high temper, and liked honky-tonks and fights." His wife was named Mary and their last known address was Paint Rock, Texas where Frank was a teacher and coach. I don't think he had any children. He played pro-football for the Washington Redskins. I believe he attended Howard Payne College in Brownwood, TX. That is all I know about him. HOWEVER, I have a copy of a photo of Frank and Gen. George C. Marshall and a letter of commendation to him from Gen. G. S. Patton, Jr. that I would like very much to deliver to any of his known relatives. If any of you are related to him and can explain to me how you are connected, I will be happy to get these treasures to you. Pat Capps Mehaffey
