Dear Sherrie, My father was Reece William Wilcox b. May 4, 1915 and died March 16, 1978. His father was James Campbell "Will" Wilcox abt 1870-1931 and his mother was Eliza Coker Gipson abt. 1877-1962. My father was raised by his father and half-brothers and half-sisters by Mr. Wilcox and his first wife, Kate Partin. Eliza's parents are James Campbell Coker and Mary Adaline Richardson. I have a few copies of death certificates of the Cokers- Mansel, Oder and J.C., I think, that were in a file at the Franklin County Library. I just found out about five years ago who my paternal grandmother was. My father died when I was twelve and he didn't know too much about his mom or that he would have thought to tell a "kid". :) Thanks!! Laura

Thank you for sharing all that information! James Campbell Coker and Mary Adaline Richardson were my 3great grandparents. My mother, was Sandra Coker , her dad was JC Coker, His dad Lem Tom Coker, His dad was William Henry Coker, His parents were James Campbell Coker and Mary Adaline Richardson I dont have an Eliza Coker Gipson listed. I have the following listed as James Coker and Mary richardsons kids, William Henry Coker, William James Coker, Mancil Coker, Adaline Coker, Mary Catherine Coker (brannon) Laura coker, jesse b coker, charles coker and armon coker. I have read Elizas name on one of the pages that I have ready to type up more information from the Franklin County Book that they have. I have to go by and get the source again. OOps. Will have the source of that book later tonight. I would like ot have a copy of the death certificiates that you have. Franklin County Lib does not have them in the folder anymore for some reason.
