I got something last night entitled, "Burke County Court Action Against Suspected Tories". It is dated Oct 1782 (scanned transcribed image). It has a Charles Coker and a William Coker on it. It basically says that they must appear in court on charges of suspected treason. I assume from reading it, that if found guilty, then they would have to relinquish their real and personal property for the use of the public. The court was to be heard in January 1783.
