Pat, My best guess is that William was the son of Joseph Coker, one of the "three brothers of Burke Co, NC." Joseph was later found in Greenville Co, SC, after 1800. Joseph was preceded their by his nephews, Leonarrd, William & Charles and many neighbors that had lived along the Johns River in Burke Co, NC. Regards, Stan
