    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BVJ.2ACIB/907.906.910.909.1 Message Board Post: Mary -- I was so happy to see your posting concerning Philip Coker, Jr. I have been searching AL. 1860 census, with no luck. He's not my direct line, but I believe my ggg grandfather, John Wesley Coker, was his brother, and that they were both sons of Philip, b ca 1766. This older Philip was living with Jr. in 1850, Shelby Co., so unless he's lived another 10 years longer and is shown with Jr. in 1860, Drew Co., we can assume he died between those two census records. Your Charles T. Coker was shown on 1900 AR Soundex, Drew Co., Clear Creek Twp., 11-69,5-21: Charles T. Coker, b Sep 1845, 54, MS; Sarah J., wife, b Aug 1840, 59, b SC; Philip B., son, b Dec 1874, 25, b AR; Jessie L., Niece, b Jan 1878, 22, AR; and boarder Milton Rawby/Rawly?, b Apr 1880, 20, b AR. A half brother of Charles was also in Drew Co., 1880 and 1900. His name was John A. (1880), AL, or John W. (1900), with wife Amanda, b AL, and several children. I can send you the names of those children if you like. Two other possible children of Philip, Jr.'s by his first wife Patience, Fatha/Hatha Ann Coker who married James Lawrence Samuel Butts Clower, and Alexander Coker who may have married Rebecca Mozelle Bassett, also moved to Drew Co. Don't know what the draw was for that locale. I would appreciate anything you could tell me about Philip, Jr. I'm just trying to accurately fill in all the blanks. Look forward to hearing from you. Charlotte
