This is what I was told about my family. ----Clayborne or bourn (My great,great grandfather) was born 3/14/1802 in Washing County, Georgia. His father was William, know nothing of his mother. Married Elizabeth Hale or Hail Born 8/20/1804 in North Carolina. Her parents were Levi Hale and Catherine Tucker or Tycker. They were married 8/22/1821 in Spencer County, Ill. Clayborne died 9/12/1880 and Elizabeth died 4/9/1889. Both buried in Scott Cemetery in MOrgan County. ill ---There Children--- 1. Thomas Coker --born 2/21/1821 in MOrgan county, Ill His wife name was Elizabeth. They had moved to S California around 1876 from Schyler County, Ill. 2. Mary Jane Coker -- Born 7/14/1822. She Died 11/30/1911. Married to Robert Thompson 3. Edward Fayette Coker --born 2/6/1825 and died 10/12/1873. Born in Ill. no town,marriage or burial on him. 4. Bernette Coker --Born 4/10/1827. Married to August W Kennedy. 11/5/1844 in Morgan County, ILL. no record of death or burial 5. Dennis Coker -Born 4/9/1829 in Ill. Married Sara Clanton 7/17/1848. Died 2/22/1906/ Lived in California at one time. 6. Sylvester Coker -Born 6/5/1824 in MOrgan County., Ill. Wife was Ledelia Peak He died 7/9/1919 buried in White Hall Cemetery. 7. Catherine Coker -Born 10/30/1836 in MOrgan co., ILL Married to Sam Wycoff. She died around 1856 8. Richard Preston Coker -Born 5/4/1839 in MOrgan County, ILL. First Wife Mary A Stevens 2nd wife was Eva Taylor He died 2/28/1928 buried at Scott Cemetery in Morgan County. 9. James Wesley Coker (My great grandfather) born 3/15/1842, married a Mary Elvira Robertson He was born and married in Morgan county, ILL He died 1931 and she died 1925, both buried republic Mo Cemetery. 10. Maria Emelina Coker --born 8/24/1845 Morgan County, ILL married to a Barton She died 6/11/1880 no record of burial. Hope this helps Phyllis
