eveline, lol believe me I do check sources have already fixed 75 years of linage that is messed up by gene pro lol. but at at same cross roads as most one way of linage for me says abraham is claiborned and dennis cokers dad the other source says a john cocker from cheshire england is father. makes me wonder lol. If there is records that could prove that would be fine but my decendant dennis coker not the one i just said that is his uncle lol shows that his parents were from geogia in kansas census before he was in illinoise. so makes me wonder how lds sight has him straight to 1723 england. but maybe the gap between 1774 to 1723 is actually setting in england history. gary coker ----- Original Message ----- From: Eveline Crocker Sent: Sunday, April 21, 2002 5:08 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Coker] John and Priscilla Coker, Brunswick Co, Va. - 1759 Gary, This just goes to prove why LDS site advises you to double check the information contributed to their sight. And, again, proves why I am double checking what I myself have posted or found on my Line or what others send me. Check the sources, at least briefly. later EM Crocker Gary Coker wrote: > > dwight the will says 1759 not 1780 thats why i wonder but i also found on laterday saint sight where it says father of claiborne coker and dennis coker was john cocker and margaret hadfield in this region of england matley mottram, cheshire, england now i dont know if that is just listing the places where born married or what but this is first time i got anything off of lds sight that shows name for father. i find it odd that will is written in 1759 and names a joseph and then finding this on lds sight name john as a father too. > it leads we have not had before so i question whether someone has take a will into their usage that may not be theirs line. > > gary > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Dwight Stipes > Sent: Sunday, April 21, 2002 8:12 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Coker] John and Priscilla Coker, Brunswick Co, Va. - 1759 > > HI, > Is this the Joseph you are trying to connect to > Joseph Coker (Son of John and Priscilla (Geddings) Coker). >snipped> ==== COKER Mailing List ==== Coker Querie Board http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/Coker ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237Get more from the Web. Gary, there was a John Coker who came to America after 1800. He went to Nebraska, see the census that list him a being born in England. 1860 census I think.???
