    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Coker, Price, Babb Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BVJ.2ACIB/1296 Message Board Post: We received some documents today from the Georgia Historical Society. There are references to other Coker's besides the one we are researching. Our Coker is Asa Coker from Henry County, Georgia. He is one of our brick walls. He married Nancy Price from Henry County, Georgia in 1844. Document #1: The will of Samuel Price, Nancy's father, makes the following reference to one of his daughters. "...to daughter Martha Coker one portion ..." His will was probated on December 2, 1847 in Henry County, GA and was located in a book called "Henry County, Georgia, 1821-1894, Marriage, Colored/Freedman Record of Sales Inventory and Wills" in Will Book A, 1834-1869. Document #2 From "Henry County, GA Land Records, 1839-1851,Deed Books J, K, L and M", Henry County, GA Deed Book M "Page 473 Henry County. December 29, 1849. .... Estate of Abner Babb, late of Henry County, ...in the estate of my grandfather, Abner Babb. /S/ Elizabeth Coker, LaFayette Mississippi ... Hope this helps someone. If so, please let me know as there are references to Kellett Babb in Samuel Price's will and Martha is sister to my Asa's wife, Nancy. In addition, Thomas Johnson was named as the executor for both the will and the handling of Abner Babb's estate. Also, since the information about Samuel Price's will and sale of inventory was found in the book it was, would it be right to assume that the Prices were Colored/Freedman?
