    3. Message Board Post: So far I have no Benjamin or Mary. I grew up hearing that we were of Irish and Indian blood, but so far I am unable to prove that. The oldest Coker contact I've found is from the 1900 & 1910 census records: Living in Jackson Co. Georgia on both census. The 1920 census lists Emma as a widow with one son(Talmadge) living with her, in Winder, Georgia. Both census say Simon's father was born in South Carolina. Everyone else lists Georiga as the birth state. Also, the child Boyd is not listed on the 1910 census. He would have been about 11. Sam.
