I could ask my husband to be tested but I'm not sure it would be beneficial since we can't trace him back very far. It looks like only 3 people have submitted their DNA so far so there isn't much to match him to. I think all Cokers should get tested. I sent my test kit in for Stipe/Stipes. I do not have a Coker surname, My motheer is a Coker. I have been trying to get her nephews and my 1st cousins to get tested. I set up every thing for 2 of them and they lost the test kit at $130. ea. ????? It's easy and does not hurt, it is like brushing your teeth. Easy, Easy, Easy. no excuse. Would it be beneficial to anyone for me to be tested. I know I am a direct descendent of Leonard, Joseph, William, and then my mother a cooker. Not sure I can swing the test cost? vsand@sftnet.org ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dwight Stipes" <dwightstipes@worldnet.att.net> To: <COKER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 21, 2006 1:42 PM Subject: Re: [Coker] Believed to be descendants of John Coker of Brunswick County, Virginia > I think all Cokers should get tested.
