    3. Beth See if this fits. I think its for the 1850 census for David Coker. If so than that David and the others are from Georgia. The 1860 & 1870 census there several other Davids that could fit. info on this Demaris Johnson Coker as to who she married? Franklin Co., Ga.....Book 5, page 402 May 8, 1856 Abel Ricketts applied for Letters of guardianship for William Mac Johnson, Demarias Johnson & Sarah Johnson with David Ricketts and Thomas Manning, sureties. On Nov 15, 1856 William Mac Johnson nominated Moratio Furguson to be his guardian. Franklin Co., GA Book 5, page 584 Nov 17, 1856 Abel Ricketts, the guardian of Demarias Johnson filed a bond with S.K. Rayburn and Moratio Furguson as his sureties. On Nov 25, 1856, he filed another bond with David Ricketts and Madison V. Riche, his sureties...Inventory of the property of Demarias Johnson, minor child of Samuel and Nancy Johnson was filed by Abel Ricketts, her guardian on Jan 21, 1857 Franklin Co, GA Book 5, page 587 March 15, 1858 Accounts of the guardian of Demarias Johnson now Coker, by intermarriage with........Coker. She was a daughter of Samuel and Nancy Johnson. She is charged with the expense of a trip to Mississippi for Negroes, 35 days, and from the wording, it seems they were her part of an estate divided there, but no clue as to whose estate. She is charged with the cost of a transcript of Ricketts Letters of Guardianship. A receipt, dated and signed by P. L. Coker and Demarias Coker. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 11:22 AM Subject: [Coker] David COKERS-Chambers, Elmore,AL-1850-1870 > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Coker, Kawkins, Floyd, Finch, Gunn, Roberson, Brown, Pitts, Newton, Ray, Reese, Hart, Stephens, Todd, Jackson, Mann > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BVJ.2ACIB/993 > > Message Board Post: > > I have several David Cokers here that I need help in identifying. > > The first David Coker is in Chambers County, AL.
