    3. I think I saw somewhere that this Henry Coker was the son of Newell Coker and Catherine Cunningham Coker. Newell was the son of Jacob Coker, brother of my ggg-grandfather Issac Coker. Issac and Jacob were the sons of Joseph and Mildred Coker of Chatham County, NC. Abraham and Malachi were also brothers of Issac and Jacob. All settled in Elbert County, GA around 1790, with exception of Jacob who came from Surry County, NC after 1800. I'll double check my records. >On 16 Dec 2001 22:03:47 -0700 [email protected] wrote. >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BVJ.2ACIB/954.1 > >Message Board Post: > >Hello Laura, > >My GGrandfather was Henry E. Coker, born/raised in Elbert County, Ga. Do you have any info on him, his family there? He moved to Spring Place, Ga. in Murray Co. and was living there when the Civil War broke out. He went back to Elbert Co. to join. I know some of his relatives were in NE Georgia in Franklin, Habersham and other counties there. He is buried at Spring Place, Ga. I do not know any of his brothers/sisters or parents names. I am from Murray Co. but now live in Cobb Co. at Marietta, Ga > > >==== COKER Mailing List ==== >Subscription management instructions are posted at http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/c/coker.html > >============================== >To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: >http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
