Would anyone on this list know anything about a James Coker, born 1812 in North Carolina. Wife Ellen, also born 1812 in North Carolina. They appear in the 1850 census of Madison County, TN, with four boys, Alexander, John, James R.W., and Samuel J. Living close by is a John Coker, age 68, Baptist minister and a Rebecca, age 80, both born in North Carolina. I am wondering if John is the father of James and who is Rebecca; maybe John's Mother?
